If so, can you change it to Windowed mode (Alt + Enter) and see whether that Compatibility Assistant box is sitting behind the FSX window? This box of course, shouldn't be there, especially if you've not changed any Compatibility settings.

Like above poster says, must be video card outputs only I believe. I ran two cards. Actually 4 displays. And really SHOULD be matching cards.
