WebJan 26, 2014 · I read somewhere that Irish Spring has had 10 different formulas, smells. I was making soap last night and fir needle and lavender seem to have that familiar Irish Spring smell. "manly yes, but I like it too." The civet musk, like the muskrat musk, is used as a fixative in perfumes. Beaver castor and skunk musk are also used.
