WebIt doesn't seem all that odd to me. A person killing a puppy would recieve a different response than someone killing an adult dog, especially one that is defending itself. I think in general I would be more upset about someone killing a baby than an adult. Tie up a baby dog and throw it off a cliff for sport? Pretty messed up.
